Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to enjoy with limited hardships what Cornell University has to offer. I am currently a rising senior from the Hotel School pursuing a concentration in real estate and finance. I want to work on the financing of hotel development projects and acquisitions. I transferred to Cornell from UCLA because I wanted to venture away from my comfort zone and see what the rest of the world has to offer. And the world has definitely opened up my eyes! Coming to Cornell was one of the best decisions I have made. Thank you for your contributions. They will not be forgotten.

Shirley Cheng ’09, one of the recipients of a Cornell Club of Los Angeles scholarship, writes:

“Thank you so much for your generous donation. Without the help of financial aid and scholarships I wouldn’t be here at Cornell today, and would most likely be back at a state school in California.

“I’m currently a junior majoring in animal science. One of the reasons I love being here at Cornell is its wonderful science programs, and it can’t hurt that the best vet school in the nation is just a few steps away! I will be applying to vet school later this year and I don’t think I’d be better prepared if I were at any other school. Again, thanks so much for your kind donation.”
