March offers Los Angelenos a bit of everything: Fashion Week for arty aesthetes; St. Patty's Day for parading perambulators; and, of course, Oscar night for celebrity sycophants. Here's a new entry for your list: The TIPS young alumni party for brainy bacchanalians. We're setting up shop at Haute, a stylish, mature and (dare we say it) 'haute' couture addition to the WeHo strip. Grab a drink and make some new friends by gabbing about how either James Cameron or his ex-wife, Kathryn Bigelow, got robbed in the 'Best Picture' category.

Online mag 944.com raves about Haute, "Giving the old Apple Lounge space a makeover, Haute boasts rich hues and lots of stainless steel, along with Vegas-style seating. The goal here? A tasteful nightclub. "The gaudy, flashy days are played out," says General Manager Jeff Henry, "and we are giving back to the customer." Patrons can cozy into one of Haute's lounge or patio booths. Adds Henry, "We are putting a little style and sophistication back into L.A. nightlife."
