Will Gluck's new comedy, "Easy A," doesn't open until September 17, but he has arranged for Cornellians to attend a special preview screening on Monday night, June 21, at Sony Studios in Culver City.  At the end of the screening, he will make himself available for a Q&A. Gluck showed "Easy A" to Cornell students on campus in April to very favorable response.

Here is a synopsis of the film:

After a little white lie about losing her virginity gets out, a clean cut high school girl (Emma Stone) sees her life paralleling Hester Prynne’s in “The Scarlet Letter,” which she is currently studying in school – until she decides to use the rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing.

Gluck is a writer-director under an overall deal at Sony Television and Sony Screen Gems. He has written movies for Universal Studios, Spyglass Entertainment, and Participant Films. He was the creator and executive producer of Fox’s TV series "Luis" and co-creator and Executive Producer of Fox’s "The Loop." Additionally he served as Supervising Producer on the network series "Andy Richter Controls the Universe" and "Grosse Pointe." He directed "Fired Up" and "Easy A" for Sony Screen Gems.  In July he begins directing "Friends with Benefits," starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, also for Sony Screen Gems.
