Tell us about how your experiences at Cornell influenced your path.

Cornell totally changed my life. The education experience changed my outlook and my approach to the world. The alumni community has given me support and encouraged and enhanced my career.

How did you come to live in Los Angeles and what you are doing now?

My aunt lived out here and I wanted to experience something besides NYC. Also, I got tired of the snow.

How did Cornell help prepare you for your post-grad life?

It taught me I can handle anything life throws at me.

Tell us a favorite memory of your time at Cornell.

I was driving in Ithaca before Christmas. The disc jockey came on and said: “here’s a Christmas song obviously written by someone who lives in Los Angeles, Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow.” I nearly drove off the road laughing.

Tell us a favorite memory shared with another Cornell alum in L.A.

I think my favorite times in LA are working as a CAAAN ambassador relating my experiences to prospective students and encouraging them to go for it.

What advice would you give, personally and professionally related to your line of work, to Cornell grads looking to come to L.A.?

Partly I’d encourage them to have confidence in their Cornell preparation. Cornell is probably the hardest school in the Ivy League. If you make it through, you will succeed.
