Big Red World Speaker Series features Nagin Cox (BS 86 and BA 86, Eng-86, Psych- 86)- NASA JPL Spacecraft Operations Engineer. Since the beginning of time, people have been entranced by the night sky and by our nearest planetary neighbor- Mars. Nagin will share stories of NASA’s “Journey to Mars” from the early rovers to the newest US traveler. Mars 2020 Perseverance Rover. Robotic exploration is the first step in the longer-term vision of international exploration of Mars by humans. Perseverance just launched in July of this year – in the middle of a pandemic….
