Cornell Cares: Volunteer Day at Wild at Heart Horse Rescue
Happening on Saturday, January 17th, 2026
The Cornell Club of Los Angeles invites alumni, family, and friends to participate in Cornell Cares, Cornell University’s biannual global service initiative, through a hands-on volunteer day at Wild at Heart Horse Rescue in Lancaster, California.
This Cornell Cares opportunity supports a rescue organization dedicated to the safety, rehabilitation, and lifelong care of abused, neglected, and at-risk horses. Volunteers play an important role in helping the rescue function smoothly so the animals receive the care they need.
The day begins with an 8:00 a.m. orientation, followed by volunteer activities such as feeding horses, cleaning and preparing stalls, and supporting daily ranch operations. A minimum two-hour time commitment is requested, with the option to stay longer if you are able. Every hour of service makes a meaningful difference for the animals and the rescue.
