Join the Cornell Club of Los Angeles for an engaging interview and discussion with novelist Gigi Berardi (MA & PhD ’79), moderated by Kim Bixler ’91, exploring Gigi’s newest book, Bianca’s Cure, and the realities of today’s publishing world. Published in February by She Writes Press, the novel has been praised as “a tale of love, alchemy, power,” and a “Renaissance version of Lessons in Chemistry,” placing a mysterious historical woman at the center of a gripping imagined life. Gigi will reflect on writing complex female characters and crafting stories drawn from overlooked women in history. She will also share insights into women-focused publishing houses and building a sustainable writing career. The evening will conclude with an audience Q&A. Come ready for literary conversation, behind-the-scenes publishing talk, and plenty of inspiration.
