Join the Cornell Club of Los Angeles for a special afternoon of theatre at East West Players to see the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic Flower Drum Song. Directed by East West Players Artistic Director and Cornell alumna Lily Tung Crystal ’92, this Diamond Legacy season production features a newly updated book for 2026 by Tony Award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang. Set in 1960s San Francisco Chinatown, the musical follows Mei-li, a young Chinese opera singer who arrives in America and finds herself swept into the vibrant world of Grant Avenue nightclubs while navigating themes of identity, assimilation, and tradition. Cornell attendees will enjoy deeply discounted prime orchestra seats.
